Like many small communities in the Highlands, Badachro is heavily dependent on tourists and visitors. We all want to remain virus-free, so respectfully ask that you use the locally provided hand sanitisers, wash your hands frequently, and wear masks were appropriate (i.e. when visiting shops).
Ashore, at Latitude 57, you will find a Community Refill Station for hand sanitiser, available during opening hours. It is a liquid sanitiser, approved by the W.H.O., and will work best in a spray bottle. A small donation is requested. Donations can be made by text or cash in store - the money will be used by Gairloch and Loch Ewe Action Forum (GALE) to pay for more hand sanitiser for the community. There is more information on our Facebook page #SafeHandsSavesLives
Common sense is always key, but in these strange times, we would advise you to have hand sanitiser and masks onboard if you plan on coming ashore.
Masks are now required in all shops
